RUN FOR A CAUSE WITH TEAM CALICO

CALICO is participating charity in the Oakland Marathon on March 23, 2025. 

​​

After six years, CALICO is returning to the Oakland Marathon! Before the pandemic, the Oakland Running Festival was one of CALICO's most inspiring and successful fundraisers.  We are excited to bring back running teams for CALICO this coming year. 

​

While everyone starts running for a different reason, our runners all join Team CALICO for the same reason – they want to help keep children safe and healthy. Our team gets bigger every year, and runners help raise funds to provide vital services for abused children and their families.

​

Every $1,000 raised will provide a family in crisis with a comprehensive package of services, including a quality forensic interview, crisis intervention, follow-up support, and referrals for community-based services. Joining Team CALICO is a fun and easy way to help children and spread awareness.

RUN

Interested in running with Team CALICO? Great!  

Sign up here to run a 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or full marathon with Team CALICO on Sunday,  March 23, 2025 at the Oakland Marathon. A CALICO board member will get in touch with you about the details.  All Team CALICO runners receive a CALICO T-shirt. Most importantly, you will be helping raise money to provide vital services for hundreds of abused children and their families in Alameda County.

Team CALICO runners commit to raising $500 to support CALICO’s forensic interviewing and family support services.  With that commitment, CALICO will cover the cost of registration. While raising $500 might sound intimidating, you may be surprised by how manageable it can be. Friends and family will be excited to support you in the cause you committed to. CALICO will be here to help you every step of the way! We provide support, as well as tips and tricks to help you meet your fundraising goal.
